Project Overview

This Kickstarter project introduces a full dice set inspired by each planet of our solar system, including the dwarf planet Pluto, Earth’s moon, and the Sun. Designed to function as a playable game set or a beautiful display, each die captures a unique celestial body in UV-stable resin, based on images from NASA. The set will be presented in a custom metal tin featuring a unique logo for this collection.

Project Backstory / Inspiration

This is something we worked on a long time ago, around 5-6 years ago and are coming back to it after a client asked us if we were able to help them produce a set and run a Kickstarter

Craft & Process

Each die is handcrafted in-house by our team, with UV-stable resin and custom molds also produced on-site. Each of our staff contributed 2-3 different designs, with visual inspiration drawn directly from NASA imagery to create a somewhat accurate yet artistic representation of each celestial body.

Stretch goals for the Kickstarter include enlarging the Sun die to 55mm and adding a miniature asteroid belt set, creating a more comprehensive solar system experience. This project has also partnered with a retail collaborator, allowing for wider distribution and promotional reach.

Environmental and Ethical Notes

This project is fully produced in-house, allowing us to maintain ethical production standards and minimise waste. The resin used is UV-stable, enhancing both the product’s durability and visual quality.

Collaborators / Artists Needed

We’re seeking promotional partners who are interested in sharing the project with their communities. To support our collaborators, we’re offering referral codes, with each referral earning $4. Collaborators can receive a unique code to help track referrals and compensation.

Uses

This set can be used for tabletop gaming or as a collectible display, bringing the beauty of the solar system to any game. Each die represents a different celestial body, adding a unique thematic element to standard gameplay.

Edition / Exclusivity

This is a limited-run Kickstarter project with potential stretch goals that will enhance the set. Stretch goals include a larger 55mm Sun die and a miniature set representing the asteroid belt.
